Wild Fig

Turned from a pale, soft-grained wood found along the roads of Magoebaskloof — likely wild fig, though never confirmed — this bowl was worked green and left to warp naturally as it dried.

Its rough surface carries traces of spalting and faint figuring, the palest and most textured piece in the series.
